For 2023 Capital Connection will be supporting Lane End Youth & Community Centre.
Opened in 2004, Lane End Youth & Community Centre (LEYCC) is a registered charity (No. 1101360) and an essential amenity in the rural village of Lane End. The Centre receives no regular income from outside organisations, all the revenue they generate is ploughed back into providing activities and events, to support the local community and in particular, those families struggling financially.
The current cost of living crisis is making life difficult, not just for LEYCC as a registered charity, but particularly for low-income families and seniors, who have less resources to call on. In response, LEYCC has launched a brand new initiative which they’re calling “The Lane End Hub”, a weekly food bank and warm space venue.
All monies donated by Capital Connection will be put to excellent use, supporting those most in need.
